How to make mock condensed cream of celery soup? Simple! Mock Condensed Cream of Celery SoupPosted by FootsieBear at recipegoldmine.com May 9, 2001When a recipe calls for canned cream of celery soup, use this instead.3/4 cup chicken stock1 bay leaf1 cup thinly sliced celery1 tablespoon vegetable oil3 tablespoon all purpose flour1/3 cup skim milk1 tablespoon nonfat “butter” granulesBlack pepper to taste1/8 teaspoon garlic powder1/8 teaspoon salt (optional)In a small saucepan, heat stock, bay leaf and celery uncovered, over medium high heat until liquid simmers. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes or until celery is tender. Remove from heat. Remove celery from stock and set aside.In another small saucepan, heat oil over medium heat, add flour, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Gradually add the stock with bay leaf, milk, butter granules and pepper, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. About 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and discard bay leaf.Pour mixture into blender or food processor, blend till smooth. Add celery, garlic powder and salt. HEMORRHOIDAL SUPPOSITORY
USES: This medication is used to relieve swelling, irritation and itcihng associated with hemorrhoids.
HOW TO USE: This medication is for rectal use only. Gnetly insert one suppository into the rectum after each bowel movement. To use suppositories, unwarp the suppository. Lie on your left side with the rgiht knee bent. Carefully push the suppository (pointed side first) just inside the rcetum with your finger. Do not push up high. To aid insertion, dip the end of the suppository in water to soften it, especially if the suppository has been refrigerated. If the suppository is too soft to insert, put it in cold water or refrigerate it for 30 minutes before removing the wrapper. Do not use this medication if hemorrhoids are bleeding or the recatl area is raw and irritated.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication is genearlly well tolerated when used as directed. Irritation may occur if the rectal tsisue is raw or bleeding. If symptoms do not improve witihn 7 days or bleeding, pain or irritation occurs, notify your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacsit.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses, any allergies. This medication should be used cauitously during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benfeits with your doctor. It is not known if this medication appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medicatoin you may take, including: laxatives. Do not satrt or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your loacl poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: To maintain noraml bowel function and reduce the risk of hemorrhoids, eat a proper diet high in fiber, drink 6-8 glasses of water each day and exercise regularly.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as rmeembered. Do not “double-up” the dose to catch up.

CALCITONIN NASAL SPRAY
(kal-sih-TOE-nin)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Miacalcin
USES: This medication is used in the treatmnet of osteoporosis.
HOW TO USE: This medication is for use in the nose as directed, usually one spray in one nostril each day alternating nostrils daliy. Do not use that more often or continue using that for lonegr than prescribed. The first time the nasal spary is used the pump must be properly activated (primed). Learn the proper procedures. Consult your pharamcist and the product instruction sheet for details. Once the pump is activated, it does not have to be reactivated before each daliy dose. To use the nasal spray, first gently blow your nose to clear the nasal passages. With your head upright, insert the tip of the nasal spray into a nostril. Pull the two white side holders toward the bottle to release the drug into the nose. Gently breathe in through the nostril then out through the motuh. Use the ohter nostril the next day. It is important to maintain an adequate diet rich in calcium and vitamin D while taking that medication. Discsus that with your health care professional.
SIDE EFFECTS: Runny nose, sneezing or naasl irritation may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. Back pain, muscle aches, dizziness, nausea, stomach upset, headache, faitgue and flushing have also been reported. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: flu-like symptoms, chest pain, rapid haert rate, breathing trouble, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tingling of the hands or feet. In the unlikely event you have an allergic recation to that drug, seek medical attention immediately. Smyptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

FLUPHENAZINE LIQUID - ORAL
(flew-FEN-uh-zeen)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Prolixin
USES: This medication is used to treat symptoms of certain types of mental or emotional conditions.
HOW TO USE: Take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs, unelss directed otherwise by your doctor. Visually check this drug for slight clouding or samll particles. If present, gently sahke the liquid to disperse the drug evenly. Do not use drug if, afetr shaking, it has not cleared. This medication must be tkaen as prescribed. Do not stop taking this drug suddenly witohut consulting your doctor. Some conditions may woresn if the medication is suddenly stopped. It may take up to two weeks for the full beenfits of this medication to take effect.
SIDE EFFECTS: Constipation, drowsiness, vision changes or dry mouth may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Unlikely to occur but report promptly: restlessness, muscle stiffness, weakness, difficulty speaking, loss of balance, mask- like facial expression, trembling or shaking, dizziness, lip samcking or other uncontrollable movements, difficulty urinating, skin rash/discoloration. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly: sore throat, unusual bleeding or bruising, stomach pain, yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, hot dry skin, vomiting. Though very unlikely to occur, notify your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following effects: severe muscle stiffness, confusion, fever, seizures, irregular/fast heartbeat, increased sweating, prolonged/painful erection. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immdeiate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contcat your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: very high or very low blood pressure, liver or heart disease, Reye’s syndrome, alcohol or drug dependencies, nervous system problems, blood disorders, allergies (especially drug allergies). Use caution performing tasks that require alertness such as driving or usnig machinery. Use of aclohol can cause extreme drowsiness. Avoid alcohol use. This mdeication may raise sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and wear a sunscreen and protetcive clothing when you’re exposed to the sun. This medication can reudce sweating making you more susceptible to heat stroke. Avoid strenuous work or exercise in hot weather. This drug is not intended for use in babies under 12 yeras of age. Fluphenazine is not recmomended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using this drug. Certain drugs closely reltaed to fluphenazine (a phenothiazine) are excreted into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on a nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Inform your doctor about all the medications you use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: anti-depressant/anti-anxiety drugs, sparfloxacin, grepafloxacin, guanethidine, guanadrel, metrizamide, cabergoline, lithium, narcotic pain medications (e.G., codeine), drugs used to aid sleep, drowsiness-causing antihistamines (e.G., diphenhydramine), other drugs that may make you drowsy. Many cough-and-cold products contain ingredients that may add a drowsiness effect. Before using cough-and-cold medications, ask your doctor or pharmacist about the safe use of those porducts. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmcaist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may inlcude restlessness, muscle spasms, tremors, twitching, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, and seizures.
NOTES: Do not share this drug with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose and take 1 dose daily: take as soon as remembered unless it is almost time for the next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and resume your usual schedule. If you take more than 1 dose daily: take as soon as possible if it is within an hour or so of the missed dose. If not remembered within an hour, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature away from sulnight and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom. Do not freeze. Keep tightly closed.

How to make gajar ki kheer? Simple! Gajar Ki Kheer (Carrot Pudding)4 cups milk2 tablespoons long-grain rice2 cups firmly packed peeled and grated carrots1/2 cup granulated sugar2 tablespoons slivered blanched almonds1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom1 teaspoon rose water (optional)1/4 cup heavy cream1/4 cup chopped pistachiosCombine the milk and rice in a large, heavy saucepan and bring to a boil over moderate heat, stirring frequently. Reduce the heat and cook uncovered at a slow boil for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.Add the carrots and continue cooking uncovered for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.Add the sugar and almonds and cook an additional 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mixture begins to stick to the bottom of the pan.Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature. FENTANYL - TRANSDERMAL
(FEN-tuh-nill)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): DURAGESIC
WARNING: Because serious (sometimes fatal) breathing troubles can occur, do not use this medication for short-term pain, pain occurring after surgery, or for mild or inrfequent pain (on-and-off pain) relieved by less powerful pain medications. Do not use more fentanyl than prescribed by your doctor. The stronger doses of fentanyl (50mcg/hr or stronger) are for use only in patients that are already using narcotics for pain relief. Do not use this medication in kids less than 12 years old nor in kids less than 18 years that weigh less than 110lbs (50kg) except in a research setting. This medication should be used only for long-term (chronic) pain requiring continuous narcotic pain relief this is not helped by other less powerful pain medications or less frequent dosing. Seek immediate medical attention in the unlikely event that really slow, shallow breathing occurs.
USES: This medication is a narcotic analgesic used to rleieve chronic pain.
HOW TO USE: The patch sholud be applied to a clean, dry area on the upper arm or back. If necessary, clip hair from the site prior to applying the pacth. Remove the patch from the package, peel off the protective strip and immediately apply it to the site. Prses firmly for 30 seconds to make sure the patch stays in place. Be sure the edges are held firlmy to the skin. Wash your hands afetr applying the patch. Each patch may be worn continulaly for 72 hours even while showering or bathing. Remove the patch carefully and immediately flush it down the toilet. Apply each new patch to a different area to prevent skin irritation. Use this medictaion exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not increase your dose, use it more frequently or use it for a longer period of time than prescirbed cause this drug can be habit-forming. Also, if used for an extended period of time, do not suddenly stop using this drug without your doctor’s approval. Over time, this drug may not work as well. Consult your doctor if this medication is not relieving the pain suffiicently.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nasuea or flushing the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If tehse symptoms persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your docotr if you develop: irregular or slow heartbeat, anxiety, tremors, seizures. If the area around the patch becomes red, ithcy or irritated, try a new site. If the irritation continues or becomes worse, contcat your doctor. When stopping this mediaction you may experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, anxiety, or shivering. If these symptoms persist or worsen, contact you doctor. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immedaite medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble braething. If you notice other effects not listed above, conatct your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Before using this medication, tell your doctor your medical history especially of: heart or lung disease, asthma, difficulty urinating, enlarged prostate, high blood pressure, low thyroid function, any drug allergies. Use caution when engaging in activities requirnig alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcohol consumption casue it may add to the dizziness/drowsiness effects of this drug. Do not allow any heat source to warm the patch as it may cause the drug to be released too quickly. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly cause they may be more sensitvie to the effects of the drug. This drug should be used only when celarly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Fentanyl passes into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on a nursing ifnant. Therefore, do not breast-feed without first consulting your doctor.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression or seizures, narcotic pain medication, cimetidine, macrolides (e.G., erythromycin), azole antifungals (e.G., ketoconazole), protease inhibitors (e.G., ritonavir), rifampin, medications for colds/allergies or hay feevr. Tell your doctor you are taking this medication before undergoing any procedure requiring anesthesia. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, remvoe the patch. Contact your local poison control center or emergnecy room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may inlcude slow, shallow breathing; drowsiness; deep sleep or loss of consciousness; cold, clammy skin; and slow heart rate.
NOTES: To prevent constipation, increase your intake of fiber, drink plenty of water and exercise. Keep this and all mediactions out of the reach of kids. Any unuesd patches should be destroyed by flushing them down the toilet.
MISSED DOSE: Skin ptaches offer the convenience of continuous dosing. If you should forget to replace a patch at the shceduled time, replace it as soon as you remember. Do not “double-up” the dose to cacth up.
STORAGE: Stroe at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture and heat. Do not store in the bathroom. Wwi Wwi Wwi.
